DTF Printing Explained: Vibrant, Durable Custom Prints

DTF — Direct-to-Film — is the modern way to print full-colour designs onto almost any garment. It's the method we use for printing at Funtastic, and here's why it's so good.

How DTF printing works

Your design is printed onto a special film, coated with an adhesive powder, then heat-pressed onto the garment. The result is a vibrant, full-colour transfer that bonds into the fabric — sharp, durable and beautifully detailed.

DTF or embroidery — which should you choose?

Go for DTF when your design is colourful, detailed or photographic, or on lightweight garments. Choose embroidery for a premium stitched finish on polos, jackets and workwear. Not sure? Send us your logo and we'll recommend the best method.
